We use the gymnasium for stalls and children's corners at events (fairs) held several times a year. The gymnasium does not have air conditioning, so in the summer we had no choice but to use only circulating fans. However, fans alone were not enough to lower the temperature or humidity, so we were looking for a large spot cooler.

Four MAC80 units, including the exhaust fan option, were rented for the event. Although the temperature didn't drop significantly (the temperature in the gymnasium as a whole didn't decrease, but the humidity did decrease within the area where the unit's cool air reached), the humidity did decrease, and customer feedback was better than when only a circulating fan was used previously. Lowering the temperature in such a large space would normally require a considerable number of air conditioners. However, creating a moderately comfortable space through dehumidification can be achieved with just a few of our portable air conditioners.

We wanted to keep at least the area where we do administrative work like processing invoices cool during the summer, but since the logistics warehouse is a rented building, it would take a long time to get approval if we were to drill holes in the walls. So, we installed two portable air conditioners and made it possible to vent the heat out of the windows as a simple solution. If we open the windows when using them, no heat remains inside the room.

Since no exhaust heat remains in the room, it can cool just as effectively as a regular air conditioner. The drain water is not collected in a tank but discharged directly outside, eliminating the need for regular disposal. Maintenance is simple; just periodically clean the air filter located at the front intake. It can be easily moved when rearranging the layout. If you need to move it to a different location, simply reattach it to a different window.

At the exhibition, they saw our portable air conditioner. The customer is in the seafood processing industry. Because their factory is located near a port, salt damage was causing their outdoor units to break down. Therefore, they thought that a portable air conditioner, which could be set up only when needed and brought indoors when not in use, would be a better solution.

Because the floor of the seafood processing plant is always wet, the drain water is not collected in a tank but is instead discharged directly outside. This eliminates the need to regularly dispose of it. Also, while the portable air conditioner cannot cool the entire factory, it has the advantage of being able to be taken wherever and whenever needed, so we move it to where people are working. We also like that it can be used year-round, as it can be used for heating in the winter.

We have small spot coolers installed in our logistics warehouse where staff are processing invoices and sorting items, but they are not very effective, so we were considering larger ones.

It was reasonably effective. Since it can be used in the kitchen, I continue to use it even in winter.
